Before we work together
Clear answers.
Before the first call.
How we scope, price, migrate, communicate, and stay accountable after launch. No sales theatre—just the details a serious ecommerce team should understand before choosing an agency.
Ask a specific questionFit & First Steps
What to know before booking a call, and how we decide whether the fit is real.
How do we start a conversation?
Send us your current platform, the main problem, and any meaningful timing or operational constraints. We review the context before the call so the first conversation can focus on decisions, not a generic sales presentation.
What kind of clients are the best fit for Inficial?
We work best with ecommerce teams that want a thoughtful Shopify partner, value direct access to senior people, and are prepared to make clear decisions. The size of the brand matters less than the seriousness of the problem and the willingness to collaborate.
Do you only work with large brands?
No. We support established teams and growing brands. A good fit usually has a real commercial need, a decision-maker who can stay involved, and enough complexity to benefit from a specialist team.
Can you help an existing Shopify store?
Yes. Existing stores often need a cleaner roadmap, feature development, performance work, integrations, conversion improvements, or a long-term team to own the backlog after the original build.
What should we prepare before the first call?
A store URL, current platform, broad objective, desired timing, known integrations, and the reason the work matters now are enough. If there is an existing brief, analytics context, or technical documentation, you can share it after we confirm the next step.
Scope & Engagements
How projects, retainers, focused workstreams, and collaboration with other teams are structured.
What services do you focus on?
Our main engagements are carefully managed Shopify migrations and long-term Shopify support. We also deliver storefront development, commerce UX, apps and integrations, CRO, mobile commerce, ecommerce AI, and white-label delivery when those capabilities support a clear commercial goal.
Do you offer fixed projects or ongoing retainers?
Both. A migration or defined build is usually planned as a staged project. Ongoing improvement is handled through a support engagement with an agreed team, priorities, cadence, and service expectations.
Can we start with a smaller piece of work?
Yes, when the work can be isolated and still produce a useful outcome. A discovery, audit, technical assessment, or focused delivery sprint can be a sensible way to reduce uncertainty before a larger commitment.
Can you work with our internal team or another agency?
Yes. We can own a defined workstream, support an internal ecommerce team, collaborate with a design or marketing partner, or provide specialist Shopify delivery behind another agency. Ownership and decision paths are agreed at the start.
What work do you not take on?
We avoid work with unclear ownership, unrealistic guarantees, or timelines that leave no room for responsible validation. We also will not recommend a rebuild when a smaller, lower-risk improvement is the better commercial decision.
Shopify Migration
The practical questions behind data, SEO, systems, launch planning, and post-launch stability.
Which platforms can you migrate to Shopify from?
We support migrations from WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, and custom commerce platforms. The migration plan is shaped around the source platform, data model, operational systems, and the parts of the existing experience worth preserving.
How do you reduce migration risk?
We map data, URLs, content, integrations, checkout behaviour, subscriptions, and operational dependencies before cutover. Validation, redirect testing, test orders, launch ownership, rollback thinking, and post-launch monitoring are planned explicitly.
Can a migration preserve our SEO?
We work to preserve existing search equity through URL mapping, redirect planning, metadata and content checks, crawl validation, and post-launch monitoring. No responsible agency can guarantee rankings, so risks and trade-offs are made visible early.
What happens to products, customers, orders, and content?
We define exactly which records move, how fields map into Shopify, what historical data is required, and what should remain archived elsewhere. Test migrations and reconciliation checks are used before the production cutover.
Can you migrate subscriptions and third-party integrations?
Usually, yes, but each system needs its own assessment. We review APIs, export quality, customer impact, recurring payment constraints, operational workflows, and fallback options before confirming the approach.
What support is provided around launch?
Launch planning covers responsibilities, freeze windows, final data, DNS and redirect changes, test transactions, monitoring, issue triage, and communication. The exact support window is documented in the project plan rather than assumed.
Pricing & Timing
How estimates, timelines, assumptions, payments, and scope changes are handled without surprises.
How do you price an engagement?
We price after understanding the scope, risk, dependencies, and decision-making process. The proposal explains deliverables, assumptions, exclusions, responsibilities, and how changes will be handled so the fee has clear context.
Do you have a minimum budget?
There is no useful universal number because a focused improvement, a migration, and a long-term support relationship are fundamentally different. We will tell you early if the available budget and the required outcome do not align.
How long will our project take?
Timing depends on data volume, integrations, design scope, content readiness, operational complexity, and stakeholder availability. Once those constraints are understood, we provide a staged plan with review points and dependencies.
What happens when the scope changes?
We explain the impact on effort, timing, cost, and risk before a material change is accepted. Small clarifications stay simple; additions that change the outcome or delivery plan are documented.
How are contracts and payments structured?
The structure is defined in the proposal and agreement for that engagement. Projects normally use agreed stages or milestones, while ongoing work uses a recurring service arrangement with clear notice, capacity, and payment terms.
Delivery & Communication
Who does the work, what your team will see, and how decisions move from brief to release.
Who will actually work on our account?
The people introduced for the engagement stay close to the work. We keep teams focused and make responsibilities visible, so you know who owns strategy, design, development, QA, and day-to-day communication.
How often will we communicate?
The cadence is matched to the engagement. It can include planning sessions, written updates, demonstrations, decision logs, and launch check-ins. The goal is enough visibility to make decisions without turning delivery into constant meetings.
What tools do you use to manage work?
We use practical project, design, development, and communication tools appropriate to the client. More important than the tool is a shared source of truth for priorities, decisions, status, ownership, and outstanding risks.
How involved does our team need to be?
We need a clear decision-maker and timely access to product, platform, content, analytics, and operational knowledge. We make the required reviews and decisions visible at the start so your team can plan around them.
Will we see and test the work before launch?
Yes. Design is reviewed in Figma where relevant, development is demonstrated in staging, and important journeys are tested before release. Acceptance criteria and launch checks are agreed in proportion to the risk.
Ownership & Support
What happens to the code, documentation, access, and store after the initial delivery is complete.
Who owns the code and design files?
Ownership and handoff are made explicit in the agreement. Our standard approach is to deliver the agreed code, design assets, and documentation to the client without creating unnecessary agency lock-in.
Do you provide documentation and handover?
Yes, in proportion to the engagement. This may include system notes, component guidance, integration context, release instructions, recorded walkthroughs, and training for the people who will operate the store.
Can you support the store after launch?
Yes. Long-term support is one of our core services. It can include roadmap ownership, development, performance, integrations, CRO, release support, monitoring, and priority issue handling under an agreed plan.
How do you approach security and account access?
We request only the access needed for the work, use appropriate partner or collaborator accounts where available, and agree how credentials and sensitive data are shared. Access can be reviewed and removed as responsibilities change.
What happens if a third-party system fails?
We define which party owns each dependency and how failures are detected and escalated. For important integrations, we consider logging, retries, reconciliation, manual fallback, and the operational impact of downtime.
AI & Partner Delivery
How ecommerce AI and white-label delivery can be used without adding avoidable risk or confusion.
What ecommerce AI services do you offer?
We focus on practical commerce use cases: agentic commerce readiness, grounded shopping assistants, product and catalogue enrichment, content operations, internal workflow automation, and decision support connected to reliable store data.
How do you keep AI work accurate and responsible?
We start with trusted data, define where human review is required, limit what an automated system can do, and design fallbacks for uncertainty. Evaluation, ownership, privacy, and operating cost are part of the solution—not an afterthought.
Do you offer white-label delivery for agencies?
Yes. We can provide Shopify delivery behind a partner relationship with agreed communication, visibility, ownership, and boundaries. The goal is to strengthen the partner’s offer without confusing the end client.
Can you work under an NDA and stay behind the scenes?
Yes, where the agreement and working model are clear. We can operate under an NDA, use partner-facing communication, and follow defined rules for client access, attribution, documentation, and handover.
